Scallops made the EASY way!

ok - for those of you who come to my monthly scrapbook class, you know how much I LOVE scallops! We are always using the slit punch, but I just found an easier way! I copied this idea from Mary Jo Albright. Do you see the scallop in the photo below?

Here's how........ Punch a circle using the 1 3/8 circle punch
Now line the scallop circle punch around the punched out circle.

Cut in ONE spot on the scallop.
Now start straightening the circle to make a straight line of scallops!
Here is mine. How easy is that?!?!

Finally a weight is lifted!

We finished Our life book along with all of the paperwork for the adoption. It will be sent in the morning. I am so relieved to have it out of my hands. Now we will just continue praying for the birth mother and our sweet future baby. Hopefully the waiting will not be hard. I have several trips and fun classes planned to keep me busy.... as if my boys don't keep me busy enough :) Look out for all of my new classes. I will post soon.........

Getting back into the swing of things!

I don't know about you, but when my husband is home I get less done! The holidays are finally over and Scott is back at work. Now it is time to get back in my stampin' room and kick off the new year. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's eve. During the past few weeks I have been finishing our life book. As many of you know our family is in the process of adopting a baby. One of the requirements is to make a life book. As you all know scrapbooking is my passion, but this has been the most difficult task. I scrapbook almost everything but trying to make a book of our entire lives without overwhelming the birth moms has been a challenge. Well, we are in the final stages of all the paperwork and hope to have everything mailed in by the end of the week. Now it is time to get ready for my Customer Appreciation on Saturday night and all the excitement of the NEW SPRING SUMMER 2008 COLLECTION. I look foward to stamping with you and giving you new creative ideas throughout the new year!
