May Scrapbook Layouts

WOW! Has this month flown by and so fast! I don't know about you, but we have had a million things going on. I have created soooo many things this month and finally I am MAKING time to share :)

These are the 5 layouts we did at my monthly scrapbook class. The June class will be June 18th at 6:00 PM (always the 3rd friday of the month). Call or email me if you would like to attend.

I love this layout done with the circle die with the big shot. I had fun making the hair have texture using the polkadot emboss folder in the big shot. Aren't the little kids cute?

These flowers are done using a NEW level 2 hostess set. I love this set because our punches fit to cut them out simply.

This layout was done using the NEW Presto Paper in the Summer mini. Everyone loved this paper and most made it their purchase the night of the class. If you have not see it yet, it comes white with embossed images on the paper. We used a stampin' sponge and ink pads to rub color on the paper. The embossed images resist the ink. It's like magic :)

Cute and simple baby layout using Perfect Plum

Have you seen the new travel set and matching paper? Love this too!!!!!

January WOW Layout

I love this layout! I think its because I love these pictures! Halloween was so much fun, but wouldn't this layout be awesome for Valentine pictures as well? This month in WOW class we made this fun layout using clear envelopes (102619) as photo protectors on the layout. This way we could add more photos to one page. some of the other fun items we used:
Sticky pages (114300)
Big Shot (113439)
Hearts & Brackets die (115955)
Red Chunky Sprinkles (111343)
Alphabet Simple Numbers die (115968)

If you would like to join us for a WOW class, we meet the first Friday of each month. Email me for more details!

My Matryoshka

My Matryoshka (115213 or 118583) is my FAVORITE stamp set in the new Occassions mini. I love it because Lyla's room is decorated in nesting dolls. Check out her room HERE on my family blog.

I made this layout with the set and plan to put pictures of Lyla on it. I did a swap with some Founder's Circle Achievers and used my layout as inspiration for the card I swapped. I love the lattice die and of course the big shot!

Build a Bear & Stampin Up!

I was selected by Stampin' Up! to participate in an exclusive opportunity with Build-A-Bear Workshop®

Only a small group of 60 U.S. demonstrators were chosen to hold these unique events to be held during the first 2 weeks of December! Today was my first! We had 8 adults, 11 children & numerous Build-a-Bear animals.

I was given a Holly & Hal Christmas movie and 2 books to give away. We had some very happy children! Build-a-Bear also gave away bookmarks and coupons to everyone in attendance.

We had 2 fun make-n-takes. We made a bag tag for their luggage or backpack. I plan on making more of these for Christmas tags on all the gifts for my neices and nephews.

I also took a photo of each child when they arrived and printed them out while the movie was playing. The kids made their own Santa bear with our Big Shot & dies and then we placed him on a picture frame.

What a fun afternoon!

I will be having my second Build-a-Bear/Stampin Up workhop on Monday, Dec. 14th at 6 PM. Please contact me if you are in the Tyler area and would like to participate. This is a great Mommy & Me event (for children 5 and over). Space will be limited. Email me to reserve your space now! april@heartlandham.com

Jewelry Box

My sweet mom turned 60 years old last week. All of her grandkids picked out a charm for her charm bracelet. So, this was the perfect opportunity for me to make a jewelry box for her. I used my Big Shot and Top note die, Flower Folds die and Matchbox die. I accessorized the jewelry box with our Day and Night DSP, Square Fire Rhinestone brads, and celery ribbon.

I used my big shot to cut out 4 matchboxes and used sticky strip to adhere them together. I then cut out 2 top notes in basic black and 2 in the Day & Night DSP. I double layed these and used sticky strip to place them on the top and bottom of my matchboxes. I placed a rhinestone brad on each of the matchboxes for the "drawer pulls." Finally, I used the flowers and ribbon to decorate the top. Isn't it beautiful? What do you think? Got a small Christmas gift to give? Wouldn't this be the perfect packaging?

WOW Projects

This was a card using the thick window sheets and Just Jawing Stamp set. We used White Staz on and a little chunky glitter. I love how this one turned out!

Why oh Why? I'm not sure why these keep going on sideways. I have turned them every way and then when I upload them onto here they are sideways? Help me if you can! This was a layout I did for my son Gavin when he got his library card. He reads sooooo much, so we go to the library each week to stock up of books. I used Circle Circus and we did the Burnishing on glossy white paper.
